  • If you get invited to the face-to-face, they already want to hire you -- you have to really mess up to not get an offer
  • After the Skype interview, callback for face-to-face can come within an hour
  • Technical test is very difficult -- study up beforehand
  • Consider renting a sim for familiarity if you have no time on type
  • Minimum requirements: 3000TT, 1500 turbine for FO positions

Interview Experience

Western Global started with a 30-minute Skype interview, basic background and career goals stuff. Within an hour HR called to schedule the face-to-face in Miami. In-person day was packed: company briefing, math test, a 40-question technical written that was legitimately hard, sim ride in the 747 (MD-11 sim was being used), and then a final panel with senior leadership. They deliberated for maybe 5 minutes and gave me the answer same day.
