“Several current SkyWest Pathway cadets shared that despite clean records and meeting ATP minimums, they were denied interviews through the cadet pipeline. The program's advertised guaranteed interview is effectively conditional on passing a multi-step screening that includes social media review, a written survey, and a background and document check. At least one participant noted deliberately framing survey answers to avoid pro-union signals. Hour proximity to ATP minimums also emerged as a factor, with one poster denied initially when 250 hours out but receiving a CJO when reapplying at 20 hours out. A circulating rumor tied CFI first-attempt pass rates below 80% to automatic denials, though this was unconfirmed.”
