Columbus, OH (final stage)

Interview Stages

30-min HR interview50-min second interviewin-person sim evaluation + presentation day

Behavioral Questions

  • Aviation journey walkthrough
  • TMAAT: safety, customer service
  • A time curiosity led you to learn something new in aviation

Technical Questions

  • Sim (fixed-base Longitude): SID with speed/altitude restrictions, steep turns, hand-flown ILS, go-around; PF/PM role swap
  • In-sim judgment scenario (owner left a bag behind)

Tips

  • The callouts packet sent in advance is expected to be LEARNED — knowing it cold and helping your assigned sim partner succeed is graded as much as your flying
  • You are being observed from arrival to departure — hotel, shuttle, dinner with your sim partner; dress and act accordingly
  • Hired at ~1,800TT/300ME this cycle; app-to-offer under two months, class a month later
  • Rejections cite pool competitiveness and advise returning with more turbine time — reapplication is genuinely welcomed

Interview Experience

A complete 2026 walkthrough: two conversational video rounds (no technical grilling), then the Columbus day — presentation, lunch, and a Longitude sim profile you receive 48 hours out. The eval is explicitly a teamwork exercise: they watch how you brief, back up, and coach your partner at least as closely as how you fly. Hiring is moving fast, with invites sometimes a day after applying.

  • Tell me about a time involving safety
  • Walk me through your resume and previous flying experience

Technical Questions

  • No technical questions in the sit-down interview

Company Questions

  • Why NetJets?
  • Why is this your career destination and not a stepping stone?

Tips

  • Use aviationinterviews.com to prepare
  • Practice the exact callouts from the sim packet with a friend - they are very particular on using the exact verbiage, no more no less
  • Do not add your own personal callouts
  • Meet your sim partner the night before and go over callouts together
  • Prepare TMAAT stories about safety and customer service
  • Think like a customer service representative when answering questions
  • Convey that this is a career destination and not a stepping stone
  • If you made it this far you are 90% there - just show you can hand fly an ILS approach
  • Be prepared for touchy FTD controls with no motion

Interview Experience

Applied online, did a Teams screening and phone screen, then went to Columbus for the in-person. Sim eval was at FlightSafety in an FTD, no motion. Profile had a departure with a level-off and speed restriction, steep turns, and an ILS. The sit-down was 1-on-1 at a hotel nearby with either an HR rep or a retired pilot, super laid back. No tech questions at all in the interview portion, just resume walkthrough and customer service TMAAT stuff. They checked my logbook for ATP eligibility. Benefits and ops presentations after. Got the call about a week or two later with the CJO.

Interview Experience

NetJets video interview is the second stage after the phone screen, before the Columbus sim eval. Senior captain and HR rep take turns. Starts with tell-me-about-yourself, then TMAAT questions heavy on safety and customer service scenarios. You brief an approach plate and answer some basic tech questions. They really want to know you understand the customer service piece and what sets NetJets apart from other Part 135 ops. Relaxed conversational tone. Pass this and you go to Columbus for the hiring event.
